Plot Summary

Vikrant Narayan Singh (Govinda) lives in a chawl in Dongri, Bombay, with his widowed mother (Aruna Irani). He works as a mechanic and sends money to his village. He is in love with Mona (Sonam), the only child of widower and retired colonel Suryadev Singh (Kader Khan), who lives in a bungalow nearby. Vikrant dreams of marrying Mona and becoming rich someday.

One day, he takes Mona to Hotel Sea Princess to celebrate her birthday. There, he is confronted by J.D. Chaudhary (Gulshan Grover) and Monty Nagpal (Satish Shah), two notorious criminals who work for Monty's father, Kailash Nagpal (Kiran Kumar), the kingpin of the underworld. J.D. and Monty insult and beat up Vikrant in front of Mona and everyone else. Vikrant decides to file a police complaint against them, despite Mona's pleas to let it go.

Vikrant goes to the police station, where he meets Police Commissioner S.R. Chaudhary (Vikram Gokhale), who happens to be J.D.'s father. Chaudhary tries to dissuade Vikrant from filing the complaint, but Vikrant refuses to back down. Chaudhary then orders Inspector Damodar (Mahavir Shah) to arrest Vikrant on false charges of robbery and murder.

Vikrant is tortured in jail by Damodar and his men, who try to force him to withdraw the complaint. However, Vikrant remains adamant and does not give in. He is then bailed out by Kailash Nagpal, who offers him a job in his gang. Vikrant agrees to join Kailash, hoping to take revenge on J.D., Monty, and Chaudhary.

Vikrant becomes Vicky, a ruthless gangster who works for Kailash. He kills J.D., Monty, Damodar, and many other enemies of Kailash. He also becomes rich and powerful, but loses his love for Mona, who is heartbroken by his transformation. He also neglects his mother, who disowns him after learning about his crimes.

Meanwhile, Chaudhary vows to destroy Vicky and Kailash for killing his son. He teams up with Colonel Suryadev Singh, who also wants to stop Vicky from ruining Mona's life. They launch a massive operation against Vicky and Kailash's gang.

In the climax, Vicky faces Chaudhary and Suryadev in a shootout at Kailash's hideout. Vicky kills Chaudhary, but is wounded by Suryadev's bullet. He then realizes his mistake and apologizes to Suryadev for hurting Mona. He also asks for his mother's forgiveness, who arrives at the scene with Mona. Vicky dies in his mother's arms, while Mona cries over his body.
