One of the most comprehensive and authoritative books on histopathologic techniques is Histopathologic Techniques by Jocelyn H. Bruce-Gregorios and Marc-Eli Medina Faldas. This book provides a concise definition of the fundamental principles and techniques involved in histotechnology, and includes new technological methods in histotechnology. It covers topics such as laboratory risk management, tissue processing, histologic staining, cytology, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology techniques, electron microscopy, and quality assurance. It also includes a brief course in immunology, covering topics such as antigens, antibodies, antigen-antibody reactions, and immunostaining procedures.

The book was first published in 1974 by Dr. Jocelyn H. Bruce-Gregorios, a Filipino pathologist and neuropathologist who migrated to the United States in 1975. She completed her residency and fellowship training in anatomic pathology, neurology, neuropathology, and electron microscopy at various institutions in Ohio and Florida. She worked as a neuropathologist at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, and became a tenured full professor at the University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine. She has co-authored several pathology and neurology book chapters, has given numerous presentations at scientific conventions, and has published more than 60 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.

The book has been revised and updated several times by Dr. Bruce-Gregorios and her co-author Marc-Eli Medina Faldas, a Filipino medical technologist and histotechnologist who graduated from De Ocampo Memorial School in Manila. He worked as a histotechnologist at various hospitals in the Philippines and the United States. He also taught histotechnology at De Ocampo Memorial School and Miami Dade College.

The latest edition of the book is the fourth edition, which was published in 2018 by Dr. Joy Bruce, the independent publishing company of Dr. Bruce-Gregorios. The fourth edition has 789 pages and is available as an ebook for $93 on Google Books . The ebook format allows readers to access the book on any device with an internet connection, and to search, highlight, bookmark, and annotate the text. The ebook also includes interactive features such as links to external websites, videos, images, quizzes, and glossaries.

Histopathologic Techniques by Jocelyn H. Bruce-Gregorios and Marc-Eli Medina Faldas is a valuable resource for students, teachers, researchers, and practitioners of histotechnology, pathology, cytology, immunology, molecular biology, and related fields. It is a comprehensive guide that covers the theoretical and practical aspects of histopathologic techniques in a clear and concise manner.
