CEO and President Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa, to support Neodocto Malaria Eradication Program

Smt. Kusum Sadrate, Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh met Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa, President and CEO of Neodocto Inc, USA, to support the Neodocto’s Malaria Eradication Program and make Himachal Pradesh a Malaria free state. Due to the sudden rise in malaria parasites in 10 warmer districts in Himachal Pradesh, the Health Department declared a malaria epidemic in the first week of March 2018.

Manhattan, New York – March 27th, 2018 – Smt. Kusum Sadrate, Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh met Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa, President and CEO of Neodocto Inc, USA, to support the malaria eradication Program and make Himachal Pradesh a Malaria free state.

The Mayor of Shimla extended her complete support to decrease, stop and later eradicate malaria in her district. She also spoke of other areas like Baddi-Barotiwala-Parwanu-Kala Amb and Una region, where malaria is on the rise due to immigrant workers living in unhygienic situations.

Himachal Pradesh is a very beautiful state situated in the northern part of India, surrounded by Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. It is one of the most beautiful hill stations in India and attracts many tourists including newlywed couples around the globe due to its scenic beauty and religious sacred places.

Due to the sudden rise in malaria parasites in 10 warmer districts in Himachal Pradesh, the Health Department declared a malaria epidemic on 1st March 2018 by its Governor. Chief Medical Officers (CMO) and other health officials from the civic bodies have been directed to keep tabs on malaria cases in all government and private hospitals and clinics across the state. Malaria has slowly risen from 39 percent in 1995 to 65.53 in 2016. The department has made it clear that those who do not test the blood samples of suspected malaria cases would be fined Rs 500, besides a penal action under Section 188 of the IPC.
