Governor of Mizoram collaborates with NeoDocto to make Mizoram a malaria free state.

Most of the Northeastern states of India are malaria endemic. Mizoram becomes the 19th Indian State to Collaborate with Neodocto in this humanitarian initiative.

He is also a well-read scholar with a master's in Philosophy and master's in Science degrees in defense sciences from Madras University. He has served in the Indian army for over 40 years and has received many prestigious awards. He played a very instrumental role in the 1971 Bangladesh war and the Kargil wars. He retired as Lieutenant General and started his political career to serve the people in a new dimension. He took charge as the Governor of Mizoram on 25th May 2015 and since has involved himself in many administrative and various youth-inspiring projects. Lt. Gen Nirbhay Sharma is one of the most honored and ornate Field Commanders of the Indian Army.
During this high-profile meeting, Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa explained about NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Program and presented his various strategies to execute the same. Mr. Madhukar discussed various alarming statistics about malaria in Mizoram. He reminded that India stands in fourth position in the world with regard to malaria deaths and especially some parts of the northeast India contribute to this. Mr. Madhukar’s interest and passion to help mankind were very clear during the meeting. He focused on the fact that the amount of manpower lost due to malaria disease and encouraged every individual to keep their surroundings free from stagnant water.
Honorable Governor, Mr. Nirbhay Sharma, with his enormous experience in life thought, the Neodocto Eradication program was a great initiative and he full-heartedly supported it. He also congratulated Mr. Madhukar and told him that his idea of giving some of his profits back to the people at such a young age was a very novel thought and wished all success in the future.
Malaria puts more than half of the world’s population at risk. Malaria continues to spread its wings, especially in the regions where there is more humidity as the weather condition support the breeding of mosquitoes. Malaria is a Vector-borne disease like dengue and has come heavy with its impact on mankind. Mizoram is one of the states in North East region of India and has reportedly shown many deaths in the last decade due to malaria. According to a survey Mizoram had the highest death rate with around 6916 cases per 100000 population.
