NeoDocto Foundation partnered with the Government of Karnataka through a ‘Strategic Collaboration’ to implement the “NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Programme” and make Karnataka ‘A Malaria Free State’. The Global President and CEO of NeoDocto Inc., Madhukar Sanneerappa stated that H.R. Ramesh Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, India supported ‘NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Program. It aims to educate and take preventive measures to stop malaria disease.
Manhattan, New York – 14th February 2018 – ‘NeoDocto Foundation’ partnered with the ‘Government of Karnataka’, India through a ‘Strategic Collaboration’ to implement the “NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Programme” in order to make ‘Karnataka’ a malaria-free state. Madhukar Sanneerappa, Global President and CEO of NeoDocto Inc. said that H.R. Ramesh Kumar, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka supported the “NeoDocto Malaria Eradication Programme” to create awareness of the malaria disease and its impact on human beings.
Malaria is a public health problem in several parts of India. As per the Directorate General of Health Service, Government of India, about 95% population in the country resides in malaria-endemic areas and 80% of malaria reported in the country is confined to areas consisting of 20% of the population residing in tribal, hilly, difficult and inaccessible areas. According to a report by the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, there were 11,078 malaria cases in Karnataka state out of 1,090,724 malaria cases reported in India in the year 2016. The Strategic Collaboration of NeoDocto Foundation and the Government of Karnataka aims to educate the public to take necessary preventive measures to stop malaria disease.

He is the Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka. Ramesh Kumar is a five-term member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Besides holding the Health and Family Welfare Ministry portfolio Ramesh Kumar in his forty-year Political career has held many posts in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and the Government of Karnataka. As a health minister of the state, he has been making efforts to improve the public healthcare sector in Karnataka.
