Manhattan, New York – 23rd April 2019 – The Global President & CEO of NeoDocto Inc. – Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa announces sponsoring a healthcare awareness campaign in the state of Bihar, India.

NeoDocto strongly believes that healthcare information plays a major role in increasing the awareness of the health and safety of people. Increasing awareness can limit the spread of disease. Recently the Global President & CEO – Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa with his international team have decided to provide support and sponsor the Government of Bihar, India to create more awareness of Neonatal encephalopathy in the people of Bihar as it has been reported as one of the states with higher incidence states in India. About 46% of babies diagnosed with Neonatal encephalopathy with this condition die in India, but it is an average of 23% around the world.

Neonatal encephalopathy is taking a toll on families, including parents, grandparents, siblings, and the baby itself. More cases have been reported in Bihar and it requires urgent attention that is the reason why NeoDocto urges the state government of Bihar, India to implement a health awareness campaign in the state of Bihar, India.

As per the 2011 census, Bihar is 3rd largest populated state in India with 8.6% of the Indian Population and it has only a 63% literacy rate which is the least among all the states of India.

Neonatal encephalopathy is a common, non-infectious disorder among newborn babies, resulting in issues like seizures, inappropriate behavior, lethargy, and other neurologic deficits. It is caused due to improper blood circulation to the brain during childbirth. NeoDocto is committed to taking specific measures towards preventing it by creating a program for all care providers in Bihar with its health articles and awareness videos. It also urges the Government of Bihar to put together necessary standards of care for these babies, as the damage to the brain can be minimized if the baby is cooled to a temperature between 32 and 34 degree Celsius within the first 6 hours of life.

NeoDocto emphasized the need for effective communication between the various care providers, especially during shift changes or between departments effectively. Also, the Government should organize programs such as the Neonatal Resuscitation Program that would minimize the complications to the babies and relieve stress in mothers during the treatment of the baby with neonatal encephalopathy.
