Neodocto Malaria Eradication Program’s awareness has been spreading like a wildfire in the Northeastern states of India. The CEO and Global President of NeoDocto, Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa met A. Mamma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl, Mizoram, India to further raise the awareness of Malaria Eradication in a dense forest state.

A. Mathumma is a dynamic famous IAS officer serving the people of Mizoram as Deputy Commissioner of Aizawl, which is the capital of Mizoram. Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa discussed NeoDocto's vision and its Corporate social responsibility concept of eradicating Malaria from India. He stressed the fact that northeastern states are endemic to malaria and told her that Neodocto will take all necessary steps to decrease its morbidity and mortality in Mizoram.
Around half of the world’s population is at risk of Malaria. Aizawl, Mizoram was the the top-rated malaria-affected state capital in 2017-18. The subtropical climate of Aizawl makes it prone to malaria. As per the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of Mizoram, Aizawl east and Aizawl west Epidemiological Situation was as follows:
As per Data from the government of Mizoram, 2017-18, East and west Aizwal together have 79217 cases of fever recorded, of which 78,634 blood examinations were conducted reecording 151 cases of malaria, which included both Plasmodium Falciparum (52 cases) and Plasmodium Vivax (99 cases). One of the observations was that east Aizwal recorded double the number of fever cases, however, the incidence of malaria was almost the same in east and west Aizwal areas. After an hour-long meeting with Mr. Madhukar, A. Mathumma felt very happy to have met a non-governmental organization led by Mr. Madhukar and told that she strongly supported their initiative and would cooperate fully to eradicate malaria from her state. After realizing that India has been ranked as the top fourth country to record the highest malaria deaths, she pledged to work more aggressively to see the end of Malaria in Mizoram.
