Rural Health Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Virender Kanwar collaborates with NeoDocto CEO Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa at Vidhana Sabha in Shimla to add fuel to Neodocto Malaria Eradication Programme. Himachal Pradesh has really done very well when compared to other states in India as its malaria cases are decreasing year by year.
Manhattan, New York, USA – March 27th, 2018 – It was a huge boost for Himachal Pradesh citizens as its Rural Health minister joined hands with Neodocto Inc, to eradicate the newly declared malaria epidemic by its Governor on 1st March 2018.
Shri Virender Kanwar is an enthusiastic minister, an advocate, and a pharmacist serving the state consecutively for the fourth time, He is very vocal and has taken big strides in his administrative capabilities. He told that he was very happy to give complete assistance to Neodocto Malaria Eradication Programme to eradicate malaria and make Himachal Pradesh a malaria-free state.
National Vector Borne Disease Control Program Report in 2017 says that Himachal Pradesh has done well when compared to other states in India. The malaria cases were 141 in 2013 which decreased to 121 in 2016 and later to 10 until May 2017. However, from its march 2018, an epidemic has been declared and appropriate measures are put by the health department of Himachal Pradesh.
According to World Health Organization (WHO), Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It can be preventable and curable. The first Symptoms of malaria are fever, headache, and chills – may be mild and difficult to recognize as malaria. If not treated within 24 hours, P. falciparum malaria can progress to severe illness, often leading to death. Vector control remains the main way to prevent and reduce malaria transmission.
